FAYETTEVILLE - Gurney Jaris \\"Jerry\\" Sullivan, 61, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010. He was born on Sept. 19, 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents, Laborn and Mildred Sullivan; and a brother, Johnny. The family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, from 11 a.m. to noon at St. Patrick Catholic Church. The funeral service will follow at noon in the sanctuary. Burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery No. 3. He is survived by his brother, Laborn D. \\"LD\\" Sullivan Jr. and wife Mary Lou; his sister, Ann S. Kieser and husband Geoff; and sister-in-law, Toni Sullivan. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews; and 9 great-nieces and great-nephews. Jerry was a ray of sunshine who brought pure love and joy into the lives of everyone he ever met. We were so blessed to have known and have been loved by this great man. Jerry fought a long battle and is receiving his great reward with Jesus Christ.
