MSG Jesse Milton Simmons, 89, of Ladson, SC, and formerly of Fayetteville, NC, died October 2, 2022, at his residence.

Jesse was born February 25, 1933, in North Carolina, to the late Edgar Oscar and Lizzy Bass Simmons.  He was retired from the US Army Special Forces.  Jesse was preceded in death by his wife, Grace A. Simmons and two brothers, SM Sgt James E. Simmons and MSG Lonnie W. Simmons.

Jesse is survived by his stepdaughter, Debra Smith and husband Tom; granddaughters, Amanda Smith and her husband, Joe Rogers and their children, Will and Violet Rogers, and Rebecca Smith; nephews, Johny Simmons and wife Amy and Mark Simmons and wife Yvette; niece, Brenda Voss; great-nephews, Darren Voss and Mark E. Simmons; and great-nieces, Melissa (Klien) Simmons, Megan Simmons, and Christine Simmons.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Lafayette Memorial Park, Fayetteville, NC, with full military honors.
