Jessie went to be with his Saviour on 26 December, 2015. Visitation begins at noon on Thursday, December 31, 2015 with funeral services following at 1 o'clock (same day) at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

October 1950, he joined the Army during the Korean War. He served with the following units: 28th Infantry Division, 4th Armored Division, 24th Infantry Division, 5th EVAC Hospital, 54th ARTY Group, 18th Airborne Corp Team 56 MACV Vietnam, and Womack Army Medical Center. He served four tours in Germany where he met and married his wonderful wife Elisabeth. Jessie retired from Ft. Bragg on October 31, 1970; his decorations include the Bronze Star.

Jessie and Elisabeth were blessed with two daughters: Rebecca Frances and Marian Joyce. Their husbands are Chris Dreyfous and Clark Wilberg, respectively. He has five grandchildren: Jeremy, Joshua and Sarah Dreyfous; Kimberlee Wilberg and Kristen (Wilberg) Bryson and her husband Spencer.
