Mr. Jessie Lee Croom, 88, of West Columbia, SC, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011, in Lexington, SC.
Mr. Croom, a former Fayetteville businessman, was co-owner of Cape Fear Janitorial Supplies for over 30 years.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday, January 29 in Jernigan Warren Funeral Home by Rev. J. Nickolas Smith and David Crow, Associate Minister of Music, Village Baptist Church, where Mr. Croom was a member. The burial will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park.
Mr. Croom was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mavis Williams Croom, and his daughter, Lela Croom.
He is survived by a daughter, Edna Sykes and son-in-law, Claude Sykes of West Columbia, SC, a son, William Croom and daughter-in-law, Pam Croom of Evans, Ga., 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Allen H. Croom, Jr. of Richlands, NC and a sister, Mrs. Lila Aidiff of Highland Springs, Va., and numerous nieces and nephews.
