HOPE MILLS - Retired Army Command Sgt. Maj. Jesus Torre Villagomez, 79, of 3231 Pelligrini Ave., passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville with the Rev. Billy R. Pait Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park with military honors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, and 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Villagomez was the son of the late John Cruz and Josefa Torre Villagomez. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Wanda Chapman Villagomez; sons, Carlos Villagomez, Gregory Villagomez and Phillip Villagomez and wife Camille; brother, Jose Villagomez; sister-in-law, Julia Manley Villagomez; compadre, Vincent Manley; and grandchildren, Gregory, Jenna, Becky, John, Lincoln, Lydia, Chris and Courtney.
