Mrs. Jimmie Lou Carter, 69, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday morning in her residence. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at 11 am in Snyder Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. John Cook and Rev. Robbie Byrd officiating. The burial will follow at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Lula Sessoms. She is survived by her husband, Billy Carter of the home; son, Dean Carter and wife Bianca of Fayetteville; daughter, Melissa Dyer and husband Jonathan of Indian Trail; father, Wilton Sessoms of Lumberton; and three grandchildren, Haley Carter, Carter Dyer, and Chloe Dyer. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
