Mrs. Joan Clark Barner, 80, died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held, Monday, January 4, 2106 at 10:00 a.m. in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Douglas Jordan, officiating. She attended Vaughn Memorial Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on Monday.

Mrs. Barner worked for the National Bank of Sanford and later spent over 50 years in Real Estate. She

is survived by her husband of 59 years, Larry; sons, Allen and wife Wanda of Suffolk, Va. and Richard of Anderson Creek; grandchildren, Rhenda and husband Joe Kozur of Fayetteville, Randy of Anderson Creek and Kelly of Suffolk, Va.; great granddaughter, Lauren of Fayetteville; sister, Ruth Lerche of Sanford.
