JoAnn Tilson Farley, 79, of Fayetteville passed away Sunday February 21, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 31, 1942 in Ft. Bragg, NC to the late Mary Louise Johnston Tilson and Teddy Carrol Tilson. In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Gail Posey.

JoAnn was a faithful member of Lake Rim Baptist Church. She pursued a career as a seamstress and enjoyed sewing and gardening as hobbies. Most of all, JoAnn cherished the memories shared with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, James Farley Sr.; her daughters, Mary L. Glebus and husband Robert and Dianna S. Gilfillan; her sons, James E. Farley Jr. and wife Polly and Charles G. Farley; her brother Ted Tilson and wife Bea; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

A private service for the family will be held Thursday February 25, 2021 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home with Pastor Floyd Benfield officiating. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park-West.
