Joanne Mary Bittner, 57, of Fayetteville, passed away Monday , October 7, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at 11 am in Jernigan Warren Chapel. The burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Jernigan Warren. Joanne is survived by her mother, Hedwig Bittner of Fayetteville; her husband, Michael Farrell of the home; sisters, Susanne Bittner Creech of Broadway and Cindy Frakes of Fayetteville; brother, Joel Bittner of Fayetteville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, John Joseph Bittner, Sr. and brother, John Joseph Bittner, Jr. Joanne worked for over 30 years with Thalhimer's/Hecht's/Macy's Department Store at Cross Creek Mall. She was an avid line dancer, loved NASCAR, shopping, buying shoes, and being with her family and friends.
