John Osborne "Joe" Carter, Jr., 82, of Fayetteville passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Joe was born February 14, 1940, in Cumberland County, NC to the late Alline Alphin and John Osborne Carter, Sr. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Candace Jo Carter and Janice Carter.

Joe was the former owner of United Floral Wholesale. He was a lifetime member of Judson Baptist Church.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Judson Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Brookshire, officiating.

Joe is survived by his longtime friend, Edward Goins; cousins, Mary Alma Crumpler, Jerry and Glenn Alphin, Michael and Harold Carter, Dwight and Henry Lee, Cynthia Eastman, and Amelia Holmon.
