Obituary

Mr. John Love "J.L." Faircloth, Jr., age 81, died Wednesday, October 24, 2007. Mr. Faircloth served in the U.S. Navy and was a combat veteran of World War II. He was a charter member of Temple Baptist church and served as bookkeeper since its inception. He also served as a deacon and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Faircloth was the owner of Faircloth Accounting and Tax Service and retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 37 years of service. He was also formerly employed with Holt Oil Co. Mr. Faircloth was preceded in death by a son, Giles Randolph Faircloth, a brother LaPrelle Faircloth, a sister Martha Love Lewis, his parents John L. Faircloth, Sr., and Lucy Clark Faircloth. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years Ann Evans Faircloth of the home, son John Love Faircloth, III of Fayetteville, a daughter Ramona Faircloth Hales and husband Gene of Clinton, one sister Jewell Faircloth Ake of Cedar Creek, two grandchildren Rebekah Hales of Clinton and Clark Evan Hales and wife Rebecca of Dunn. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Temple Baptist church with Dr. Robert Lewis and Rev. Richard Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. Rob Evans, Purdie Elliott, Kevin Arrowwood, and John Dross Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Temple Baptist church Building Fund 3159 Sanderosa Road Fayetteville, NC 28312.
