John Thomas Goins, 86, of Fayetteville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 5, 2015.

He served as Superintendent/Chairman Deacon of Seminole Holiness Church for 60 years.

John was born in Moore County on December 17, 1928.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Charlie and Reba Goins.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years Dassie "Tony" Locklear Goins; children, Betty Nance, Pat Cashwell and husband Ronnie, John "Buster" Goins, Jr., Theresa "Cookie" Rivera and her husband Hector, Chris Bedtelyon and her husband David as well as one sister, three brothers, Ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Seminole Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Sandy Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home
