Mr. John Lee Helms, 55, of Hope Mills died Thursday, August 23, 2007, at Highsmith-Rainey Hospital. A memorial service will be held 7 pm Saturday evening at Jernigan Warren Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. He was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Helms. He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Deborah Lamb Helms of the home; two daughters, Selena Helms of Raleigh, and Sara Helms of Brooklyn, NY; a brother, Mark Helms of Fayetteville; his mother, Audrey Helms of Fayettteville; He was a 1970 graduate of Pine Forest High School and was employed by Sprint North Supply for over 30 years, having resided in Kansas and California with his employment.
