John E. "Jack" Mueller, 85, of Fayetteville passed away Friday, March 23, 2012.
Born in Jeffersonville, Ind. His dedicated work ethic to basketball, earned him a scholarship to Wake Forest University where he earned his undergraduate degree. Later he would receive his Masters Degree from East Carolina University. After coaching and teaching at Fayetteville High School, he worked diligently in the Cumberland County School System for over 30 years as a principal and administrator.
Jack was also a member of Judson Baptist church, served in U.S. Armed Forces, a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and worked with the N.C. State Legislator.
He is survived by the love of his life, Sybil, to whom he was married a wonderful 61 years; his son Lane, daughter-in-law Alise and granddaughter Taylor of Fayetteville, Son, Mark of New York and sister Edna Mae Gladden of Clarksville, Ind.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 25th from 4-6 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. at Judson Baptist Church on Monday, March 26th followed by the burial at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 25 2012 4pm to 6pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. The Funeral will be conducted Monday, March 26, 2012 at 2pm in Judson Baptist Church, burial will follow in the church cemetery.
