Mr. John Wesley "J.W." Bright, 78, of Fayetteville, died Thursday afternoon November 1, 2012, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held graveside on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at 2 pm in LaFayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. Revs. Ira Sutton and Tryon Lancaster will preside. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. J.W. was born September 25, 1934, to the late Vann and Mary Bright. He owned and operated J's Cabinet Shop before retiring. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Merle Bright; his son, John Wesley "Jay" Bright, Jr.; and his brother, Howard Bright. He is survived by his daughter, Kendra Bright Lancaster and her husband, Jamie, of Fayetteville; his grandsons, Jay and Jack Lancaster; sister, Doris Smith of Fayetteville; brother, Bobby Bright and his wife, Sue, of Hope Mills; and his sisters-in-law, Etrue Bright of Fayetteville, Patsy Bundy and husband, Kenneth, of Hope Mills, and Mary Lynn Sutton and husband, Ira, of Sanford. Memorials may be made to Victory United Methodist Church, 404 Quality Road, Fayetteville NC 28306.
