John E. Raynor, 85, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011. He was a veteran of World War II. He retired as a Sergeant First Class with a service connected disability. After Retirement from the Army in 1958, he worked as an Accounting Division Supervisor in the Department of Finance Non-appropriated Funds Division at Fort Bragg from 1960 until his retirement in 1991. He did volunteer work for the Red Cross in the Family Practice Clinic of Womack Army Medical Center for fifteen years. Leaving to cherish in memories are step-daughter, Debbie Fowler & husband Jason & their son John Tyler Farrell , step-son, John Dailly & wife Pauline & their daughter April Nicole, sister Rachel Masimore & family of Baltimore, MD & sister Linda Parker & family of Benson, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, parents, Will B & Viola Raynor, sister, Madine Price & brother, Lloyd B. Raynor. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 8:30am to 9:00am at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. The funeral service will start at 9:00am in the funeral home chapeland the burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors.
