Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant Jorge Luis "Marty"Martinez-Gotay, 68 of Fayetteville passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014 inCape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Marty was an Air Force veteran of campaigns from the VietnamWar through Desert Storm. He was amember of the American Legion.

The family will receive friends at Jernigan Warren FuneralHome on Thursday, December 11, 2014, from 11 am to 12:30 pm. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 pmin Jernigan-Warren Chapel. The burial will follow in Sandhills State VeteransCemetery with military honors.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia H. Martinez of thehome; daughters, Kristy Martinez Sykes of Fayetteville and April Gail Corbettof Sanford; brothers, Vincent Martinez and Pedro Martinez; sisters, ProvidenciaMartinez and Carmen Ramirez, all of Melbourne, Fla.; godson, Christian R.Martinez; grandchildren, Mitchell Summers, Diamond Sykes, James Franklin Sykes,III., and Megan Addington; and great-granddaughter, Alaura Yeager.

Memorials may be made to either the American HeartAssociation or the American Lung Association.
