SPC Jose Juan Melendez Jr, 31, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on Wednesday, 29 November 2017 in Raleigh, NC.

Jose lived his life to the fullest always seeking to be the best person he could be. He loved listening to old school rock and electronic dance music, laughing, and having fun with friends.

He always had a passion for drawing. Jose touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity. He was known to be a jokester who had a good sense of humor.

He is survived by his parents, Andres and Mara A. Ramos (Doens) of Fayetteville, NC and sister, Mara Baker of Raeford, NC.

The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, 545 Ramsey St., Fayetteville, NC on Thursday, 7 December 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Friday, 8 December 2017 at Main Post Chapel on Ft. Bragg. Burial will follow at Sandhills State Veteran's Cemetery.
