Joseph "Joe" Butler, 94, of Fayetteville, died Monday, October 30, 2017.

Mr. Butler was a Navy Veteran, truck driver for Roadway and was retired from the Fayetteville Fire Department.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 a.m. Friday prior to the service at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his loving wife, May Butler; brothers, Beaty, John, Arthur and Elbert Butler; sisters, Annie Ruth and Jane Wilder

Surviving are his daughter, Joan Ross (Richard); son, George D. Greenway (Julia); grandchildren, Cathy Stone, Tammy Neal, George Greenway, Jr and Kimberly; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandsons.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
