MSG Joseph C. Dellasandro, U.S. Army Retired, 77, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Dellasandro was a Vietnam veteran, and served with the 101st Airborne division at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, 82nd Airborne and the 50th Signal Battalion at Ft. Bragg. He was retired from the Cumberland County school system and a 1980 graduate of Lafayette College. He was an avid outdoorsman, a member of the Fayetteville Classic Car and Truck Club, the Fayetteville Model A Restorers Club and the Italian American Club.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel. Burial will follow with full military honors in Post Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Dellasandro.

Surviving are his wife, Ginger Dellasandro; daughter, Diane Dellasandro and husband, Mark Rohrig; son, William Dellasandro and wife Tracey; step-daughters, Anne Cass and husband, Robert Benson, and Wanda Hall; step-sons, Ray Cannady and wife Carolyn, Jody Cannady and wife Melody; brother, Michael Dellasandro; sisters, Marie Amemhauser and Diane Sparacino; 3 grandchildren; 5 step- grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday August, 14, 2017 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
