Retired CW3 Joseph Harold \\"Joe\\" Newman, Sr of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday March 27, 2011. The family will receive friends Friday, April 1, 2011, from 6pm to 8pm at Jernigan-Warren. The funeral will be held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 11 am in Campground United Methodist Church with Rev. Haywood Smith officiating. Burial with full Military Honors will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens on Raeford Road. He was a veteran of Vietnam & Korea. He was a founding member of the Kingsmen at Camp Ground United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Marita; two sons, Paul & Joe Jr; two sisters, Elsie Wooten & Josephine Tate; and 3 grandchildren.
