Mr. Joseph Carl Wallace, 72, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, April 27, 2016.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at 2 pm in Jernigan Warren Chapel. The burial will follow at McDaniel Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 pm.

Carl graduated from High School at age of 17 and joined the Army, where he served for 3 years in the 82nd Airborne Division. Following the military, he owned and operated Gainesville School of Music in Gainesville, FL. He later became the prominent business owner of Apollo Productions, an entertainment booking agency. He also owned and managed a top 40's band that primarily performed for military officer's clubs. Later in life, Carl owned and managed car lots; and also sold mobile homes and real estate. Carl is survived by his daughters, Carlita McDaris and husband Ryan of High Point, Tammy Wallace of Washington, D.C. and Natalie Denning and husband Brian of Columbia, SC; son, Michael Butschky of Crofton, MD; two grandchildren, Nathan Wauford and wife Elissa and Nicholas Wauford; sister, Annie Mae Price of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews.
