NEW BERN - Mrs. Josephine Jones McCall, formerly of Fayetteville, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at Croatan Village in New Bern. She was born Aug. 28, 1915, in Fayetteville, where she lived for 93 years. Josephine was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville. She was a gracious lady who enjoyed life and cherished her wonderful friends and family. She is survived by her sons, Joe McCall and wife Shirley of Charlotte; Jones McCall of Morehead City; her daughter, Josephine McCall Aiken and husband Hovey III of New Bern; five grandchildren, Jones McCall Jr., John McCall, Joshua McCall, Hovey Aiken IV and Montague Aiken; and two great-grandchildren, Adley McCall and Jones McCall III. She was predeceased by her husband, Joe Dean McCall Sr. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010. Burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the parlor of the church at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
