Joshua Rafael Martinez Gonzalez, 28, of Fayetteville died suddenly Saturday morning June 10, 2023.

Joshua was born on February 19,1995 in Puerto Rico. He was employed as a battery charger at Smithfield.

He loved spending time in the kitchen cooking as well as eating out. In his spare time, you could find Joshua playing his video games or enjoying his cats. He was a loving husband, son, brother, stepdad, uncle, and friend to all who knew him.

The doors of Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home will be open from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023, and Saturday, June 17, 2023, for anyone that would like to offer their condolences.

Joshua is survived by his wife, Myriam Martinez; parents, Jose Rafael Martinez Ferrer and Margarita Gonzalez Torres; brother, Julio Angel Velez Gonzalez and wife Amy; sister, Debbie Martinez Gonzalez; stepdaughter, Dyeneishka Diffut; nieces and nephews, Luis Velez, Darlynn Velez, Enrique Velez and Yazmin Velez.
