Joyce Hope Cook Carpenter, 81 of Fayetteville, NC died Sunday, May 31, 2026

Joyce was born November 12, 1944 in Johnston County to the Late Charlie Thomas Cook and Viola Elizabeth House Cook

She was preceded in death by her Husband of 46 years, Retired US Army Sergeant Major Clifford Paxton Carpenter in 2015 and her two sisters, Rachel Beasley and Mae Thompson and two brothers, Charlie R. Cook and Thomas J. Cook.

Joyce was a Hairdresser/Cosmetologist and Nurse by trade.

Survived by her two daughters, Luckie Kim Carpenter, Jennifer Carpenter Eason  (Husband Dennis) two sons, Charlie T. Carpenter and James Carpenter and two grandchildren Thomas and Lucas and two great-grandchildren along with several neices and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026 at 1pm in Lafayette Memorial Park West on Raeford Road with Rev. Michelle Skipper officiating.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Matthews United Methodist Church 202 Hope Mills Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304 or a charity of choice.
