Mrs. Joyce Haithcox Goff, 68, of Falcon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 7, 2010, in her home after a long, 20 year battle with lung cancer. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2011, at 12 noon in Jernigan Warren Chapel with Chaplain William McCoy, Rev. John Blackmon, and Pastor Jackson officiating. The burial will follow at Falcon Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Goff was a strong woman. Born in Hoke County, she was the daughter of Donnie and Alma Haithcox of Moncure, NC. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Barney B. Goff; daughters, Mrs. Joy Lundberg of Godwin, Mrs. Janet Garrett of Fayetteville, and Miss Joan Herring of Godwin; a son, Barney B. Goff, Jr. of Godwin; a sister, Shirley Harrington of Moncure; step-sister, Virginia Baker of Raeford; brother, Lofton Haithcox of Moncure; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Goff was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Nanny. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 11 to 12 at the funeral home.
