Mrs. Joyce Fordham Griffin, 85, of Fayetteville died Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in her home. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014, at 12 noon in Gethsemane Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Westfall presiding. The burial will be held Friday prior to the service at 11 am in Post Cemetery on Fort Bragg. Joyce was former owner and operator of "The Hot Dog Hut" in Spring Lake and then worked on Fort Bragg for MWR at Airborne Lanes for 17 years. She was very well-liked which can be attributed to her talkative and friendly demeanor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor and two sons, Victor, Jr. and John. She is survived by her 3 sons, Bobby Knight of Linden, Jeffrey Griffin of Fayetteville, and Mitchell Griffin of Linden; two daughters, Mary Bothe of Raeford and Connie Welch of Fayetteville; a brother, Alton "Billy" Fordham of Byron, Georgia; two sisters, Jackie Frazier and Shirley Bostic, both of Juliet, Georgia; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
