Mrs. Juanita "Nita" Livingston Adcox, passed away December 8, 2016. She was born May 24, 1924 in Fayetteville, N.C. Nita's beloved husband Maness passed away on this same date six years ago. Nita grew up in Fayetteville and married Maness Irvin Adcox on December 8, 1944 at Merona Air Force Base near Tucson, Arizona. They cherished 66 years together and loved ballroom dancing, gardening and traveling. They were blessed with two children, Stephen Irvin and Mary Alexander.

Nita was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church and the epitome of a southern belle. She was known for her hugs, laughter and keen mind.

Nita leaves behind a loving family including her sister Martha Butler of Fayetteville; son Stephen and wife, Nancy, of Wilmington; daughter Mary and husband, Dick Gill and granddaughter Mary Margaret; Granddaughter Melodi Borkowski and husband Thomas and great-granddaughter Caroline, all of Fayetteville.
