Juanita R. Horne VANDER — Mrs. Juanita R. Horne, 83, of Vander, passed away on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Juanita was a faithful member and pianist at Bethany United Methodist Church in Stedman. She was a retired teacher assistant at Sunnyside Elementary School in Vander. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Bertie and Langford Royal; brother, David Royal; and sisters, Maxine Warren, Loydlovella Shaw, and Patsy Royal. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at noon in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville, with Dr., the Rev. Milton Little and the Rev. Larry Myrick officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, from 11a.m. to noon. Mrs. Horne is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, George W. Horne Jr. of the home; daughter, Diann Bullard and husband, Michael of Beaver Dam; brother, Paul Royal of Stedman; sisters, Wanda McMillan of Wade, and Corenna Cain and husband, Boyd, of Gray's Creek; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 2285 Wade-Stedman Road, Stedman, NC 28391. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, from 11a.m. to noon.
