Judith B. Klinck (Judy) was wrapped in the loving arms of our Lord on June 26, 2021.  Judy was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Cecil and Edna Burnett and graduated from Spartanburg High School. She attended Furman University and graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.  She later became a trained dental hygienist and received a Master's in Public Health Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Judy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Earl F. Klinck II (Fred) Col. US Army Retired and their two children: daughter, Amanda Klinck, of Fayetteville, and son, Stephen Klinck, his wife, Sue Klinck, and their two sons, Emory and Lewyn, of London, England. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Moulder of Fayetteville.

Judy was a faithful Army wife for 27 years, living in Europe, Korea, and many installations in the United States.  She changed careers in 1996 after her husband retired and worked for 13 years as the executive director of the nonprofit Better Health of Cumberland County.  Judy loved her tennis community and book club. She served on many nonprofit boards, including Cumberland HealthNET, Networth, Women's Giving Circle of Cumberland County, and the Episcopal Farmworker Ministry of Newton Grove, and she was a founding board member of Connections of Cumberland County. Along with her non-profit work, Judy was also a prolific reader of bedtime stories to her grandson, an avid recycler, and passionate about travel. And despite the physical distance of the pandemic, she managed to bring her family even closer together through countless, joyful Zooms and video calls.

Judy served St. John's Episcopal Church in Fayetteville as a vestry member, as well as a member of the altar guild, wedding guild, bereavement committee, and her beloved, The Order of the Daughters of the King.  She attended Episcopal Cursillo in the Diocese of East Carolina and served that ministry the rest of her life.

She lived into her Baptismal Covenant at every turn, a true servant of our Lord.

Celebration of Life will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church on Tuesday, July 6th at 11:00 a.m., 302 Green Street, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28301.
