Judith (Judy) Horne Wilkinson, 78, passed away peacefully Saturday, February16, 2019 , at her home in Fayetteville. She was born June 9, 1940 in Lumberton, N.C.  to the late Bessie Kinlaw Horne and Alvin Horne.

She graduated St. Pauls High School. Judy worked as a cosmetologist for over 40 years.  She was also an instructor at Sir Walter Beauty Academy in Fayetteville for ten years and retired from JC Penney Salon with thirty years of service.

She loved spending time with her family and devoted many hours volunteering at Saint Matthews Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gerald and Larry Horne.

She is survived by her husband, James M. Wilkinson of the home; two sons, Darryl M. Taylor (Jeane) of Hope Mills and Michael T. Taylor (Wendy) of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Ashlea and Michelle; great grandchildren, Hunter and Ashton.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park West. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
