Mr. June Ray Batton Sr., 58, of Hope Mills NC, died Sunday, April 22, 2012 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at 4 pm in Crystal Springs Chapel with Rev. Bruce Suggs officiating. The burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. June was preceded in death by his parents, Fennimore Cooper and Frances Starling Batton. He is survived by his wife Deborah Jernigan Batton; 8 children, Debbie Veltri of Yorktown VA, Ray Batton, Kimberly Batton, Angela Batton, and Kenny Hall all of Hope Mills, Heather Cambell of St.Pauls, Michael Batton of Greenville SC, and Marie Trombley of Goldsboro NC; 20 grandchildren and 3 siblings, Buddy Batton and Margaret Wilcoxen of Grays Creek and Linda Gagnon of Tennessee.Visitation: Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 7pm to 9pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home & other times at the home, 3714 Golfview Drive, Hope Mills, NC.
