Mrs. Kathleen C. Nance, 96, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, in Glenbridge Health & Rehabilitation in Boone. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, with burial following in Cross Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Wednesday, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Mrs. Nance was preceded in death by her parents, William Almon McAllister and Blanche Jones McAllister; her husband, James E. Nance; son, James Leroy Nance; and a grandson, Daniel Elmore Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy McKethan of Boone, and Myra Pastore of Fayetteville; six grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 219 Hull Road, Fayetteville, NC 28303.
