FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Kathryn \\"Kathy\\" Fox Maxwell, 43, of Fayetteville, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009. Kathy was a loving mother and wife. She always had a passion for working with children, and taught at Alma Easom Elementary School. Once having children of her own, her countless hours of volunteer work at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church, in the children's schools and in support of their many activities, centered on their educational and spiritual growth. Kathy loved Billy and they created a loving, nurturing, and happy home together. Kathy is survived by her parents, John D. and Henrianne C. Fox of Fayetteville; brother, J. Byran Fox and wife Stephanie of Big Stone Gap, Va.; sister, Kerry F. Garlington and husband Brent of Fayetteville; and paternal grandmother, Sallie B. Fox of Pensacola, Fla. She is likewise survived by her mother-in-law, Faye S. Maxwell; father-in-law, Bill Maxwell Sr.; sister-in-law, Lynette M. McDonald; sister-in-law, Janet M. Prewitt and husband Tad; nieces and nephews, including Loni Fox, Thomas and Emma Claire Garlington, Olivia McDonald, Haywood McDonald, Elizabeth Gilluly and husband Christopher and Edward Prewitt; and many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church, with visitation to follow in the Gathering Hall. Private burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in honor of the Maxwell family to the Snyder Memorial Baptist Church Youth Fund, 701 Westmont Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28305, or Village Christian Academy Athletic Fund, 908 S.
