FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Katie Mae Bass, 87, of Fayetteville, died Monday, July 20, 2009, in Blue Ridge Regional Hospital. Mrs. Bass is survived by her sons, James, Anthony, Roland, Larry, Stanley and Kenneth; daughter, Ellon Bethea; brother, Robert P. Carter; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 o'clock p.m., tonight, July 23, 2009, in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville with the Rev. Douglas Prevatte officiating. Burial will be held in Lafayette Memorial Park at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2009. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 tonight, July 23, 2009, at the funeral home.
