Mrs. Kay Florence Ellis, 71, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, in her home. Mrs. Ellis was a retired employee of Cumberland County schools. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 31, 2008, in Lafayette Memorial Park, with the Rev. Bruce Suggs officiating. The family will receive friends from 1to 2 p.m. today at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Mrs. Ellis is survived by two sons, Kenneth Ellis of Lumberton and Robert Ellis and wife Suzanne of Fayetteville; daughter, Linda Smith and husband Jessie of Fayetteville; sister, Clorese Jeffries of Fayetteville; brother, Gene Johnson of Fuquay-Varina; four grandchildren, Natasha Nigh, Jessie Smith Jr., Brandon Ellis and Caitlin Ellis; and two great-grandchildren, Timothy Nigh Jr. and Victoria Nigh. Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ellis; and her son, David Ellis. Services entrusted to Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
