Mrs. Keiko Ishikawa Mellott, 80, of Fayetteville, NC, died Thursday, June 22, 2023, at her residence.

Keiko was born September 16, 1942, in Takasaki, Japan, to the late Tadashi Ishikawa and Nobuko Chiba Ishikawa.  A natural born artist, Keiko returned to school after raising her children and applied her talents to hair styling.  Keiko was affiliated with the Soka Gakkai International and the Fayetteville Kaidekai. She was preceded in death by husband, Captain Dorsey "Mel" Max Mellott and son, Robert J. Mellott.

Keiko is survived by her son, Kenneth E. Mellott; daughter, Michele L. Mellott; sister, Tomoko Oikawa; and brothers, Yukio Ishikawa and Kazuhiro Ishikawa.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
