Mr. Kenneth Yates Black, 63, of Fayetteville, died Thursday November 26, 2009 in UNC Hospitals Chapel Hill. Mr. Black was a retired supervisor with State Probation. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at 10 am in Fayetteville Community Church with Rev. Ken Pritchard presiding. The burial will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville. The family will receive friends Monday evening, November 30, from 7 to 9 pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Black of the home; daughter, Whitney Lawson of Charlottesville VA; a granddaughter, Peyton McClain of Charlottesville; sister, Sandy Griffin and husband Gary of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 2 nephews, Ty Griffin and wife, Julie, and Nathan Griffin; 2 nieces, Natasha Koski and husband Tim and Shannan Hair and husband Justin; and 6 grand-nephews/nieces, Tucker, Tatum, Griffin, Grant, Hannah, and Katie.
