Kenneth James "Jim" Caudill, 59, of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, June 23, 2008. Jim was a retired junior high school football, baseball and basketball coach with Cumberland County schools at Margaret Armstrong Junior High. He was a member of the N.C. Coaches Association, a youth baseball coach with Cumberland County Parks & Recreation and a member of Lafayette Baptist Church. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Riggings and Roy James Caudill; and a sister, Lynne Walters Helms. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, June 25, 2008, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2008, in Jernigan-Warren chapel by the Rev. Brian Lee. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park West on Raeford Road. Jim is survived by his wife of 28 years, Barbara J. Caudill of the home; a daughter, Jenny Caudill of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sons, Brian J. Caudill and Chad M. Caudill, both of Charlotte; a brother, Doug Caudill and wife Margaret of Hope Mills; three nieces, Donna Walters of Monroe, Lisa Morton and husband Patrick, and their children, Brandon and Baylee, all of Monroe, and Kimberly Caudill of Fayetteville; a nephew, Christopher Caudill of Wilmington; and numerous coaching friends.
