Kenneth Alexander Culbreth, 87, of Eastover passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021, at his home with his beloved family by his side.
Kenneth was born February 28, 1934 in Cumberland County, NC to the late Sadie Viola Geddie and James Leon Culbreth. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dougald, Donnie, Jack, and Fulton Culbreth and a sister, Jennie Culbreth McLaurin; son, Stephen Ray Culbreth; and grandson, Alexander Ray Lewis.
Kenneth was a Retired Master Sergeant in the Air Force and a Navy Veteran. He served 17 years in the Air Force and 4 years in the Navy. He retired from Diebold after 20 years of service. He played high school basketball and enjoyed entertaining and cooking for his family and friends, playing golf, watching pro football and college basketball.
Kenneth was a member of Salem United Methodist Church since 1949, a Master Mason in the River Jordan Lodge #133 in Minot, ND, and a member of the Knights of Pythias.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Gill Wise and Rev. Brooks Grimes, officiating. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 64 years, Donna Emily Culbreth; daughter, Faye Culbreth Lewis and husband, Randy; daughter-in-law, Barbara Culbreth; grandchildren, Russell Culbreth and partner, Shannon, Robert Culbreth and wife, Valerie, Jessica Murray and husband, Patrick, Stephanie Salazar and husband, Alex; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Tylor, R.J., Kaylee, Maxton, Cade, MacKenzie, Shelby, Sophia, Thomas, Theodore, and Apollo.
