Obituary

Retired US Army Master Sergeant Kenneth Wayne Locke, 76, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Kenneth retired from the Army after more than 20 years of service, during which he served in the Vietnam War and was a member of Special Forces. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 18, 2013, at 10:30 am at Jernigan Warren Chapel with Pastor Barry Lawrence presiding. The burial will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 9:30am to 10:30am, at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Masako Z. Locke of the home; son, David Locke of Gray's Creek; daughters, Cynthia Bradshaw of Ontario, Canada, and Debbie Gaydosik of Durham; sister, Brenda Demaree of Florida; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 18, 2013, at 10:30 am at Jernigan Warren Chapel with Pastor Barry Lawrence presiding.
