Mr. Kenneth Lee, 79 of Fayetteville passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014 in Woodlands Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fayetteville surrounded by his loving family. Kenneth began his career with Carolina Telephone and retired as a supervisor from Sprint after 38 years. Mr. Lee was a member of Retired Employee After Carolina Telephone. Mr. Lee was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. As a hobby he enjoyed woodworking. Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Martha Briley Lee. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Jernigan-Warren Chapel with the Rev. John Pabon, officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Mr. Lee is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 57 years Sarah Harrison Lee of the home; daughter Penny Lee of Fayetteville; sisters Janie Rogerson of Williamston and Lucille Peele and husband Jimmy of Bear Grass; granddaughter Amanda Flores and husband Sam of Monroe; several nieces and a nephew; beloved dog Maggie. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to his dear friend and caregiver Helen Psalmond and caregivers Ann Matthews and Regina Morris for their loving care and compassion shown to Mr. Lee. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 3, 2014 from 1pm to 2pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home The funeral service will follow at 2pm in the funeral home chapel Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
