Army (Ret) U.S. SGM Kent Edwards, born 22 January 1953, in Champagne IL, passed away Wednesday,  26 January 2022, at Womack Army Medical Center.

Kent served his country for more than 30 years and retired as a highly decorated Sergeant Major  (SGM).

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Edwards; their children, Kim Miller Paschal-Osborne, Josh W Edwards and wife Jeniffer, and Marc Miller; loving grandchildren, Phillip Paschal, Kayla and Riley Edwards; mother, Virginia Edwards of Illinois; oldest brother, Michael Edwards and wife Cheryl of California; younger brother, Steve Edwards and wife Chery of Florida; and sister, Becky Fisher and husband Greg, with many loving niece and nephews. Kent will be greatly missed and forever loved by all his family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 12 noon in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, FT Bragg, NC with Full Military Honors.
