Obituary

Kikuko "Kiki" Miyagi Cook, 84, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Carolina Inn with her family by her side.

Kiki was born in Ginowan, Okinawa-Ken on December 5, 1939, to the late Zensho Miyagi and Ushi Matayashi Miyagi.

She loved dancing, any style, and any type of music. She could keep up with all the latest dance trends. She enjoyed cooking and would alter her recipes to please her husband. Kiki was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years and the love of her life, Carl Cook; and her brother, Seikichi Miyagi.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Gonzalez and husband Jose; son, Toshiya Cook and wife, Taeko; grandchildren, Amanda Gonzalez, Alicia Gonzalez Spears and husband, Ricky, her granddaughters, Ikumi, Yumeno, Ai and Ayano; and great granddaughter, Violet Rosalie Spears.
