Kim was born on June 8, 1958, and went home to be with God on March 22, 2024.

Kim was an awesome sister, daughter, and friend to family and everyone she met.

Kim loved people, dancing, music, bowling, gameshow and home shopping TV, going to restaurants, Notre Dame football, vanilla ice cream, her pets, our mom, and many other things in her life.

She was my inspiration to be a special education teacher for 32 years.  She was the best sister ever.

Kim has now joined our mom, Laura Hartsook Shipley, in Heaven, along with all of our companion animals.

She is wrapped in God's arms, but is being missed by her sister, Marcia Shipley Fail, her father, William Shipley, and others who knew her.

A memorial service will be conducted Friday, April 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd., Spring Lake, NC 28390.
