Kristy Martinez Spencer, 48 of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 in Clemmons N.C.

Kristy was born on August 24, 1973, at Homestead Air Force Base in Dade County, Florida to the late Jorge Luis Martinez and Patricia Heisler Martinez.

Kristy became very ambitious at a young age where she would paint clothing for others with her Tri-Chem paints. She later became passionate for abstract art and served as a past member of the Fayetteville Arts Council.

She was employed with Food Lion as an Assistant Customer Service Manager,  owner and operator of Kameo Events, a Mary Kay Consultant, Uber Driver, and co-owner of Fayetteville's first digital Radio Station WORN-DB 105.7, The Beat Jamz. She was a dedicated worker and a go getter!

Kristy was a loving daughter, mother, sister, wife, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.

Funeral services to be held Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren  Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jorge Luis Martinez.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin Spencer; mother, Patricia Martinez; sister, April Gail Corbett; daughter, Diamond Mercades McCall (Mario); son, James Franklin Sykes, III; stepdaughter, Pricilla Spencer; maternal grandmother, Joyce Heisler Townsend;  grandchildren, Alaura Yeager, Amaria McCall, Arayna McCall, Jaden McCall and Savion Cobbs; niece, Megan Addington; nephew, Mitchell Summers; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins from Florida to Canada, Scotland and Puerto Rico.
