Lorman "Dewey" Stephenson, 87, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, June 7, 2008 in Carolina Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Stephenson was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Second Baptist Church and was a retired barber. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, June 11, 2008, in Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Lawrence Tew officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the church. Mr. Stephenson is survived by his wife, Margie T. Stephenson; two sons, David Stephenson and Stanley Stephenson; two brothers, Richard Stephenson and Joe Stephenson; two sisters, Mary Tew and Etta Grosscup; and two grandchildren, Richard and Hailey Stephenson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church, 522 Person St., Fayetteville, NC 28301.
