Larry John Coppernoll, 71, of Linden, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017.

He was a Mechanical Engineer with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 38 years. An avid pilot of more than 50 years, Larry was the owner of the Linden Air Service and a member of the Cape Fear Aero Association.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Diana Coppernoll; daughters, Allison McKamey of Greensboro and Adrienne Turner of Durham; sister, Penny Coppernoll-Blach of San Diego; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Haymount United Methodist Church on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date in Stockton, Il. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haymount UMC.
