Mr. Larry T. Ellis, 70, of Fayetteville, passed peacefully Sunday, January 20, 2008. Mr. Ellis was retired from Carolina Telephone after 32 years of service and was a dedicated member of Victory United Methodist Church. His funeral service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, January 22, 2008, in Jernigan Warren Chapel in Fayetteville with Rev. Chris Humphreys and Rev. John Woodard officiating. The burial will be held at 3 pm at Macclesfield Cemetery in Macclesfield, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jett and Elizabeth Ellis. He is survived by his wife, Lucy Ellis; his son, Roy Ellis of San Antonio, Texas; his daughter, Laura Conley and her husband, Joe, of King, NC; his brother, Terry Ellis and his wife, Andrea, of Courtland, Virginia; and 7 grandchildren. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 10 am to 11 am, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Victory United Methodist Church Building Fund, 404 Quality Road, Fayetteville NC 28306.
