Obituary

Mr. Larry Pernell "Hoss" Jacobs,II. 38, of Aurtyville, died Thursday March 8, 2012 at Sampson Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 4pm at Cape Fear Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Burnett, Rev. Terry Cummings, and Rev.Rob Wingo officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-4pm at the church. Hoss worked for the United States Postal Service For 15 yrs alongside his loving wife Erin. When not at the postal service he was running his own business Larry's Flooring. He was very talented with his creative tile designs. Through Hoss's strength and guidance his family has achieved what they have today. Erin, his wife of almost 16 yrs was his soul mate which he made known to all very often. His daughter Taylor was his heart. He loved them to the moon and back and said his love would take them there. The most important thing in life to him was his family. Hoss was a dear friend to many and he will be truly missed by all that ever had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a great example of a man, father, husband, and a friend. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Chief James Pernell Jacobs and Viola Whitehead Jacobs; and his beloved dog "Dutch". He is survived by his wife Erin Montgomery Jacobs; his daughter Taylor Michelle Jacobs; his mother Anna Locklear Jacobs; his father Larry Pernell Jacobs, Sr; his three sisters, Anita Nicole Jacobs, Lindsay Renee Jacobs, and Ashley Jacobs Sanchez; his grandparents, Roscoe and Helen Jackson Locklear; his sister- in- law Lindsey Ryan Montgomery.; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Tootsie. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Taylor Jacobs c/o Patriot State Bank P.O. Box 737 Clinton N.C. 28329 for his daughter to reach her goals in the highest levels of women's competition soccer. The family will receive friends Sunday March 11, 2012 from 2pm to 4pm at Cape Fear Baptist Church, followed by a memorial service at 4pm in the church.
